Are you feeling overwhelmed with life? Does your mind have a constant chatter even when you are trying to sleep? Are you dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression? If you answered yes to any of these questions then take a break and learn how you can take care of your mind, body, and spirit through wilderness meditation.
Experiencing a wilderness meditation retreat is a unique way to be in the natural world. This retreat is designed to support each participant and help guide us to relax, feel at peace, and to allow us to listen to our own inner truth.
You will receive guided instruction in the following areas during this wilderness meditation retreat:
● Mindfulness approach
● Various meditations
● Awareness activities
● Meditative art
● Gentle stretching
● Solo time and walks
● Group dialogue and discussions aimed at enhancing awareness in everyday life
● Tools for healthier lifestyle
It is important to quiet the mind and find peace. Many insights can be revealed from being in nature. Nature can be a healer and within it we can cultivate openness to our wisdom.
We will be staying in cabins at Tanglewood 4H Camp within Camden Hills State Park. These cabins have wood stoves, bunk beds, and an outhouse. We will also be using the main lodge for art and meditation. All food and group gear will be provided. The menu will consist of wholesome and delicious foods. All dietary needs are considered when planning the menu.
$350 per person which includes rustic lodging for two-nights, activities supplies, handouts, meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast and lunch), Maine Recreation Guide.
